Your first day in Antalya

Use day one to get your bearings: breakfast in Kaleiçi, a walk from Hadrian's Gate down to the old harbour, an afternoon swim at Konyaaltı and dinner back in Kaleiçi. Save full-day activities like a boat trip or rafting for day two, and send the request on day one.

What to pack

For day trips a small backpack, refillable water bottle, hat, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes are enough. Bring water shoes for Konyaaltı's pebbles, a change of clothes for rafting and plenty of water for the ancient sites.

Getting around the city

Antalya's tram lines connect the city centre, the bus station and the airport side of town, so Kaleiçi and Konyaaltı are easy to reach by tram. Public transport uses the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality's card system; check current lines and fares on the municipality website. With heavy luggage, a private airport transfer is easier.
