In short: Suluada is a rocky island off Adrasan in Kumluca district, south-west of Antalya. You reach it only by boat, usually on a full-day trip from Adrasan beach. Go between late spring and early autumn, start early, and bring water and sun protection: there are no facilities on the island.

Where is Suluada?

Suluada lies off the Adrasan coast, beyond Kemer and Olympos. Its pale rock and shallow water make the sea look an intense, light turquoise, which is why it is so often photographed.

  1. Drive or transfer to Adrasan. From Antalya city it is a long drive; from Kemer, Tekirova or Olympos it is much shorter.
  2. Take a boat from Adrasan beach. Boats leave in the morning and return in the late afternoon, stopping in coves along the way.

Packages with hotel pick-up solve the drive; see the Suluada boat trip.

When to go

From late spring to early autumn the sea is warm enough to enjoy the swim stops. In peak summer boats are busier; a weekday or a private boat is calmer. Wind can change plans, so keep a backup day if you can.

What to bring

  • Water and snacks; the island has no shops.
  • Sun hat, high-factor sunscreen and a light cover-up.
  • Water shoes for the rocks; a mask and snorkel if you have them.
  • A dry bag for phones.

Combine it

Spend the night in Olympos or Çıralı to break the drive; see the Olympos and Çıralı guide. For other boat days, compare Antalya boat tours, or start from things to do in Antalya.
